A fairly quick and easy cover for my brother's netbook. Felted jumper with strap made from the waistband of a pair of grey cord trousers.

After a hot wash in the machine this tank top turned into a lovely thick felt. Perfect for a custom netbook cover for my Dad. There was just enough for a matching camera case too.

I included extra pockets for cables, batteries, memory cards etc.

In a rare moment of self-control, I managed to take a photo of this jumper before I set the scissors on it. It used to look like this.

The plan was to create a wrap around jacket with some buttons. However halfway through I decided to use the old collar as a belt style fastening instead. For those of you who like knowing how things work, here's a rough idea of the dissection and subsequent construction. (Click on picture to enlarge.)

One jumper. One hot wash. One pair of cozy felt slippers.

Super quick and easy. I had a bit of fabric left over from a woolly jumper I felted in the washing machine so I straight stitched round a bunny shape (leaving a small gap to turn inside out and stuff). The face was embroidered on. Hello rabbit.
