These necklaces are all over the craft-scene. I did mine a bit differently from the instructables version.
You can cut a continuous spiral or make lots of separate loops by cutting straight across. I left the seams intact so that it's still one piece. Hopefully the diagram below makes sense. The tricky part is finding a cotton (or cotton-blend) shirt that curls at the edges when you cut it with a pair of sharp scissors.
